Grounds of Appeal - Contents & Placement Sections BF&I
The Grounds of Appeal will be produced using your supporting documentation to clearly show your child’s special educational needs and the necessary provision to meet those needs.
The GOA will highlight where the plan fails to include your child’s identified needs or where advice has not been sought to fully identify your child’s needs.
The GOA will highlight where the plan fails to include an identified provision or where a corresponding provision for identified needs is missing.
Legislation and case law will be referenced throughout to challenge where the plan fails to specify and quantify.
An argument against/for the named/preferred placement will be included with reference to your evidence.
The appeal application will be completed on your behalf, leaving you to simply submit the completed paperwork to register your appeal with the First-Tier Tribunal (Special Educational Needs and Disability) [SENDIST].
